Job summary

United Rentals is hiring an Inside Sales Rep at our Fluid Solutions branch in New Jersey. You will serve as a key customer contact, recommending solutions, quoting, selling and fulfilling orders based on customer needs. You will drive branch growth and build relationships while delivering outstanding service.

Your role focuses on fluid solutions equipment rental and supply needs, with opportunities to learn, multi-task and advance within a leading equipment rental provider.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of fluid solutions related products and applications preferred.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (especially Word and Excel).
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and diligent safety.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Establish an understanding of the rental business for specialty engineered products and services, including electric and hydraulic pumps.
• Process rental quotations, reservations and contracts.
• Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk-in and call-in customers.
• Educate customers about proper equipment use.
• Coordinate with inside and outside branch employees to deliver customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns.
• Run reports to monitor equipment and facilitate operations.
• Maintain inventory records of branch assets.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
