Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is hiring a full-time outside sales Account Manager in Boise, ID. The role covers Boise, Eastern and Central Idaho, with a focus on fluid power products and serving diverse B2B customers.

You will drive sales, build customer relationships, and expand accounts while collaborating with reps and internal teams to specify solutions and close deals. A strong mechanical aptitude and leadership mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven industrial B2B outside sales experience.
• Hydraulic, pneumatic and/or fluid power components knowledge preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales and profit goals by developing existing customers, opening new business, and customer retention.
• Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and engineered solutions.
• Partner with manufacturer reps and our support team to help spec in products/systems that will enhance customer performance.
• Prepare quotes and proposals, follow up and negotiate terms, and close transactions.
• Organize and conduct training sessions for customers, survey market and competitive conditions.
• Complete reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads and other related reports.
• Monitor customer complaints, follow up on outstanding orders, and make emergency calls and deliveries as required.
