Job summary

Barnes Jewish Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) II to perform specimen processing and routine/complex testing. You will ensure quality control, instrument maintenance, and proper documentation while delivering timely results.

The role requires a BS in a physical or life science, ASCP or equivalent certification, and up to 2 years of experience. Preferred experience includes Flow Cytometry.

Qualifications

• BS in physical or life science required.
• ASCP or equivalent certification required.
• 2 years or fewer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate instrumentation to deliver accurate lab results.
• Train new staff in methods and use of equipment.
• Perform quality controls and troubleshoot instrumentation issues.
• Document patient test results accurately in LIS with timely reporting.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and initiatives.
