Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) I to perform processing and routine testing of blood and specimens, with emphasis on quality control and instrument maintenance.

This full-time night shift position is 40 hours per week, with weekends and holidays rotating; a Bachelor's Degree in Physical/Life Science is required and ASCP certification is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical or Life Science or related field.
• Experience not required or minimal; ASCP not required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Operates instrumentation to deliver precise, timely lab results.
• Performs testing and uses the LIS/lab computer system to report results.
• Maintains quality controls and troubleshoots instrumentation as needed.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and problem resolution.
