Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform testing and reporting across a broad range of specimens for patients from neonates to geriatric. The role includes phlebotomy, instrumentation maintenance, and adherence to quality controls.

The successful candidate will typically have an Associate degree in MLT or equivalent, with 0–2 years of experience and a preference for certification eligibility.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Technology as required by CLIA high complexity testing.
0-2 years of experience as a medical laboratory technician or similar setting.

Responsibilities

Process and test specimens for clinical studies.
Review test results and provide accurate interpretations.
Report lab results via laboratory information system.
Perform venous and capillary phlebotomy and maintain specimen integrity.
Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and troubleshoot issues.
Assist in clerical tasks and inventory management.
