Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital, part of Washington University Medical Center, is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) II to join the team in Missouri. The role focuses on specimen processing, testing, quality control, instrument maintenance, and documentation within a high-standard clinical lab.

The position requires a BS in a physical or life science and ASCP or equivalent certification; experience less than 2 years is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical or life science required.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience of less than 2 years is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operates instrumentation to deliver precise, timely, and accurate results.
• Trains new laboratory personnel in methods and equipment usage.
• Performs quality controls and troubleshoots instrumentation as needed.
• Reports test results via the LIMS and meets turnaround times.
• Participates in performance improvement activities to resolve issues.
