Job Objective

This is an entry-level job at store level. The primary purpose of this job is to assist the Floral Manager in providing good quality products to our customers in a clean, friendly environment.

Reports Directly To

Floral Department Manager

Major Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Greet and thank every customer with whom you come into contact.
• Assist the Floral Manager in completing all their daily duties.
• Comply with all company trim standards.
• Assist in receiving trucks and breaking down loads into coolers.
• Follow all safety guidelines and never use equipment if safety mechanisms have been bypassed.
• Report any missing or non-functional safety mechanisms to the Floral Manager.
• Rotate all items as they are stocked.
• Use markdown coupons to reduce products that are close to their expiration date.
• Use merchandising areas properly to promote sales of ad items or items bought on deal.
• Follow all company policies, including dress code and wearing a name tag.

Basic Functions And Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes occasionally and exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently. Must have dexterous use of both hands. Must be able to stand and move about various work stations. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items as needed. Ability to use knives and other sharp instruments for food preparation or product removal from boxes.

This is medium work requiring good corrected vision, hearing, and physical ability to lift, carry, stoop, kneel, stand, reach, push, and pull, including working on slippery floors.
