Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Sales Specialist to greet customers, assess project needs, and guide them to the right home improvement products. You will become the product expert, explain specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales, and support customers throughout their shopping experience.

In this role, you will move around the store or garden center, engage with customers, discuss project requirements, and help them achieve home improvement goals. Prior sales experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimum 25 lbs lifting, with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure/registration if required by state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and highlighting Lowe's products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handle estimates, scheduling, orders/installations, and follow-ups.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock and replacements.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist with store operations.
• Train associates in the department and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
