Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Sales Specialist to engage customers, understand project needs, and guide them to the right home improvement solutions. You will become a product expert, promoting features, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

Based in one of Lowe's departments, you will move throughout the store, answer questions, and assist customers to ensure they achieve their home improvement goals with strong service and knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (Or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe’s will support)

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors, manage orders/installations, and follow up on projects.
• In Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels, work with vendors to find merchandise and replace stock.
• Perform price reviews and ensure pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and associate requests.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
