Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Outside Sales Rep for Flooring and Facility Solutions in the Washington, DC area. You will target customers, build relationships, and drive revenue through the rental of floor care and surface preparation products across facility maintenance and restoration segments.

Lead with consultative sales, develop new accounts, and collaborate with General Rental Sales Reps and national account teams to ensure full coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years prior experience in flooring and surface prep.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined geographical territory.
• Prospect, qualify and acquire new accounts in facility maintenance and restoration segments.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiary companies.
• Partner with General Rental Sales Reps to develop leads and close deals.
• Liaise with Facility Maintenance & Restoration National Account teams for full coverage.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Develop and present company products and services to clients.
• Utilize CRM tools to develop pipeline of opportunities.
