Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Outside Sales Rep - Flooring and Facility Solutions (FFS). You will target customers, build relationships, and drive revenue through the rental of floor care and surface prep equipment across facility maintenance verticals.

You will be the voice and primary contact, using consultative sales to understand client needs, develop leads, and close deals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3 years prior experience in flooring and surface prep
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
• Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined territory.
• Prospect, qualify and acquire new accounts in facility maintenance and restoration.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and subsidiaries as single point of contact.
• Partner with General Rental Sales Reps to develop leads and close deals.
• Liaise with Facility Maintenance & Restoration National Account teams for account coverage.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Develop and present company products and services to clients.
• Utilize Salesforce and other CRM tools to build a pipeline of opportunities.
• Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development.
• Perform other duties as needed.
