Job summary

Goodwill is seeking a Store Operations Assistant to support daily retail and bookstore operations across multiple locations. You will help manage staff, ensure policy compliance, and drive revenue while delivering excellent customer service to donors and customers.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience, a valid CA driver’s license, and the ability to work varied shifts with 65% travel between locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2 years college/technical school preferred.
• Two to five years related experience.
• Computer skills: Email, internet, Word and Excel.
• CA Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate electronic cash register and perform basic arithmetic.
• Travel required: 65%.
• Work schedule: 5 days per week including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and assist management.
• Ensure staff adheres to policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and donors.
• Monitor pricing, product quality, store expenses and revenue goals.
• Train, coach and develop staff to improve productivity.
• Communicate with the District Manager or Senior Manager as needed.
