Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required where employed.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience noted in some postings.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens and decontamination per procedure.
• Match requisitions to tubes, package specimens for transport and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and ensure test requisitions match script; comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
