Job summary

Confident Search Consultants is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Bloomington, IN. The position covers Bloomington and surrounding areas with a float assignment, schedule 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, processing, and adherence to OSHA/DEP standards. Requires 2+ years experience and pediatric experience; travel and mileage are reimbursed. Potential for permanent placement after 3 months.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
