Job summary

Hire Consulting Services is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Bloomington, IN and surrounding areas. The position covers blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging, and proper transport, with a 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday schedule.

The assignment runs for approximately 3 months with potential for permanent hire. A valid phlebotomy certification, at least 2 years of experience (including pediatric exposure), and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED
• minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrates technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles; ensures proper labeling and transport of specimens.
