Job summary

Bookmark Medical in Oro Valley, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Specialist (Float) to support patients and providers across locations. You will greet patients, check them in, manage calls and schedule, and handle referrals and co-pays with warmth and professionalism.

Clinical duties include rooming patients, taking vitals, updating histories, documenting in the HER, assisting with procedures, vaccines, and point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• Accredited MA training or equivalent experience.
• MA certification (or willingness to obtain, we will reimburse for your certification).
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Comfort working in a fast paced, patient centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and checking them in with warmth and professionalism.
• Managing calls, messages, scheduling, referrals, follow ups, and co pays.
• Assisting with insurance verifications and prior authorizations.
• Updating patient information and supporting clear communication between patients and providers.
• Rooming patients and preparing them for their visit.
• Taking vitals, updating medical histories, and documenting in the HER.
• Assisting providers with procedures and administering vaccines.
• Performing point-of-care testing.
• Maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms and following all safety protocols.
