Bookmark Medical in Oro Valley, AZ seeks a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Specialist (Float) to support patient and provider teams across locations. You will handle front-desk duties, patient check-ins, scheduling, and billing tasks while assisting with patient care and vaccines.

The role requires MA training or equivalent experience and MA certification, with reimbursement offered for certification. A patient-centered, collaborative environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check them in with warmth and professionalism.

• Room patients, take vitals, document in the EHR, and assist with procedures and vaccines.

What you'll do

You'll play a key role in supporting both patients and providers by:

• Greeting patients and checking them in with warmth and professionalism
• Managing calls, messages, scheduling, referrals, follow ups, and co pays
• Assisting with insurance verifications and prior authorizations
• Updating patient information and supporting clear communication between patients and providers

Clinical/ Medical Assistant Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and preparing them for their visit
• Taking vitals, updating medical histories, and documenting in the HER
• Assisting providers with procedures and administering vaccines
• Performing point -of-car testing
• Maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms and following all safety protocols

What you bring

• Accredited MA training or equivalent experience
• MA certification (or willingness to obtain, we will reimburse for your certification)
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Comfort working in a fast paced, patient centered environment
