Job summary

Bookmark Medical is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Specialist (Float) to support multiple clinic locations in the Mesa area. You will welcome patients, check them in, manage scheduling and communications, and assist with insurance verifications and prior authorizations.

The role also involves rooming patients, taking vitals, updating histories, and aiding providers with procedures including vaccines in a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Accredited MA training or equivalent experience.
• MA certification (or willingness to obtain, we will reimburse for your certification).
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Comfort working in a fast paced, patient centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and checking them in with warmth and professionalism.
• Managing calls, messages, scheduling, referrals, follow ups, and co pays.
• Assisting with insurance verifications and prior authorizations.
• Updating patient information and supporting clear communication between patients and providers.
• Rooming patients and preparing them for their visit.
• Taking vitals, updating medical histories, and documenting in the HER.
• Assisting providers with procedures and administering vaccines.
• Performing point-of-care testing.
• Maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms and following all safety protocols.
