Job summary

ArchWell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant - Internal Float (MA-Float) to flexibly support our members across centers. The MA-Float may assist in front office or direct patient care, supporting the PCP day-to-day and ensuring efficient care delivery for geriatric patients.

You will greet members, take medical histories, perform routine screenings, and assist with coordination of referrals and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable training.
• Minimum 1 year MA experience preferred but not required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in members, ensuring a seamless experience.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals for the care team.
• Update member records in the EMR system.
• Request and upload medical records to the EMR.
• Conduct patient intake, measure vital signs, and document health history.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the PCP and team.
• Answer calls and manage patient communications for the physician.
• Provide basic first aid under physician supervision.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and proper documentation.
• Support center events as needed.
