Job summary

ArchWell Health is hiring a Medical Assistant – Center Float to support our Birmingham, AL centers. The MA-Float may work in front office or direct patient care, providing coverage across the network as needed.

You will assist in triage, vital signs, and routine screenings while coordinating with PCPs and care teams to maintain smooth patient flow and high-quality service for geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare training.
• BLS certification required or in progress.
• Experience with EClinicalWorks or similar EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet members on arrival and ensure a smooth check-in.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals for the care team.
• Update member information in the EMR system.
• Take vital signs, perform intake, and assist with routine exams.
