Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician to support multiple properties across the Bay Area. You will handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general repairs, ensuring curb appeal and high levels of resident service.

You will perform preventative maintenance, manage work orders, and assist during emergencies, while upholding safety protocols and professional conduct. A valid driver’s license and English literacy are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or related field is preferred.
• Possess general maintenance and carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Address a wide range of apartment and property maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor or property manager.
• Perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance as per state guidelines.
• Carry out carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass, door/lock, ceramic tile repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator and more.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and amenities to identify safety or maintenance needs.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, weather, fires, floods).
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly to leadership and maintain safety/risk management.
