Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain physical aspects of the property, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality in common areas and units.

The role involves diagnosing issues, completing make-ready tasks for vacant units, managing inventory, documenting requests, and performing grounds maintenance. A flexible schedule is required, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have all certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Must have valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the property size, if applicable.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the source of defects and perform repairs per policy, safety standards and code requirements.
• Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are finished.
• Access and track materials, supplies, and equipment from the maintenance department and notify the supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to enable proper tracking and reporting.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities, including trash pickup, pressure washing, painting, and general cleaning.
• Support cost-containment by fixing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools properly.
• May periodically inspect contractor work to verify quality and conformance with specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety and risk concerns and communicate issues to management.
