Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the community’s buildings, grounds and common areas. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage make-ready tasks for vacant units, while upholding Greystar standards and safety policies.

The role emphasizes resident-facing service, routine maintenance, and collaboration with the Community Manager on budget and supplies, with a focus on efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools and safe tool handling knowledge.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with residents and team.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal HVAC certifications when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant units and move-ins.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors for quality.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment; order supplies as needed.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in policy.
