Job summary

INTOWN SUITES is seeking a Floating General Manager to oversee operations at multiple properties. You’ll cover for GMs on off days and vacations, train staff, and lead local marketing efforts to drive guest satisfaction and revenue.

You’ll travel frequently within the market, with duties including recruitment support, cost controls, and ensuring quality standards. A strong front office background and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a functioning automobile.
• Read, speak, write and understand English to interact with guests and staff.
• Understand reports and hotel information and manage forecasts and costs.
• Knowledge of Front Office operations, guest relations and upselling techniques.
• Ability to work long hours and travel within the market as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate properties in the absence of a General Manager as needed.
• Follow the General Manager Daily Flow when acting as GM.
• Develop expertise on computer operating systems.
• Assist in recruitment of General Managers and staff.
• Train, develop and support property staff.
• Drive sales through local marketing and calls.
• Ensure and provide excellent guest service.
• Identify and manage repair and life/safety issues.
• Travel and overnight stays may be required.
