Job summary

INTOWN SUITES in Florida Ridge seeks a Floating General Manager to oversee operations of an assigned property and provide coverage for off days and vacations. This role also includes short-term assignments across all properties in the market, with duties such as local marketing and staff development.

Responsibilities include guest service leadership, cost control, recruitment support, and ensuring quality standards. Travel to other properties, including overnight stays, is a regular requirement.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Read, speak, write and understand English to interact with guests and staff.
• Ability to interpret information from reports and internal hotel systems.
• General computer proficiency and hospitality software familiarity.
• Knowledge of front office operations and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates properties in the absence of a General Manager as needed.
• Follows General Manager Daily Flow when acting as a General Manager.
• Develop expertise on computer operating systems.
• Assist in recruitment of General Managers and other staff.
• Train, develop and support property staff.
• Drive sales through local marketing as directed by Regional Operations Manager.
• Ensure and provide excellent guest service.
• Identify and manage repair and maintenance issues.
• Identify and follow up on life/safety issues and inspections.
• Notify Regional Operations Manager of safety or policy violations and guest concerns.
• Monitor competitors in the market as directed.
• Assist in meeting budgets through cost and inventory controls.
• Help properties maximize financial performance.
• Travel and overnight stays will be required.
