Job summary

Shea Properties is seeking a Floating Assistant Community Manager to support multiple apartment communities. You will lead leasing office operations, supervise staff, and coordinate with Community Manager on marketing, pricing, and renewals.

The role requires strong communication, budgeting, and customer service skills, with familiarity in property management systems (Yardi). On-site work, competitive benefits, and bonus opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information to groups.
• Solid understanding of accounting and budget processes and ability to interpret numbers.
• Experience in marketing concepts, data analysis, and reporting.
• Customer service experience in property management, hospitality, retail, or real estate.
• Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Yardi is preferred.
• Prior leadership and staff-management experience in a property setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily lineups and oversee leasing office operations.
• Post Craigslist ads and manage data input in property management software.
• Review move-out statements for accuracy and compliance with laws.
• Process rental applications and oversee lease renewals with residents.
• Coordinate move-ins with leasing and maintenance staff; review pricing recommendations.
• Prepare weekly property reports and manage leasing paperwork and residency documents.
• Supervise leasing staff and support budget preparation and PDP development.
• Ensure notices and account records are accurate and compliant with policy.
