Job summary

Ideal Eye seeks a Texas-licensed optometrist to support growing practices across Central Texas, including Kyle and surrounding areas. The Floater role offers variety, collaboration, and the chance to impact multiple patient communities with personalized eye care.

Ideal candidates will perform comprehensive exams, assist in surgical co-management, and diagnose ocular disease while using advanced diagnostic tools. New grads welcomed; travel across North San Antonio, Buda, and Kyle may be required.

Qualifications

• Texas-licensed Optometrist.
• 1–3 years of clinical practice experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong business aptitude with focus on patient service.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams.
• Support surgical co-management.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disease.
• Prescribe and dispense for corrective lenses.
• Respond to eye emergencies.
• Educate patients on healthy vision using advanced diagnostic technology.
