Job summary

Ideal Eye, a multi-location practice, is seeking a Texas-licensed Floater Optometrist to support growing practices across Central Texas, including North San Antonio, Lockhart, Buda, and Kyle.

You’ll join a team of 20 eye care professionals to perform comprehensive eye exams, co-manage surgeries, diagnose ocular disease, prescribe lenses, and educate patients using advanced diagnostic technology; up to 40 hours per week with weekday and Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D., including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
• 1–3 years of clinical practice experience; new grads encouraged
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and patient service mindset
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and co-manage surgeries
• Diagnose and treat ocular disease
• Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses
• Respond to eye emergencies
