Job summary

Ideal Eye, a multi-location practice, is seeking a Texas-licensed Floater Optometrist to support growing practices across Central Texas, including North San Antonio, Lockhart, Buda, and Kyle. This role offers up to 40 hours per week with Mon-Fri eight-hour days and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree and Texas licensure.
• 1–3 years clinical practice; new grads encouraged.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong business aptitude and dedication to patient service.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and support surgical co-management.
• Diagnose and help treat ocular disease; prescribe/dispense lenses.
• Respond to eye emergencies and educate patients on healthy vision.
• Collaborate with a team of eye care professionals to deliver high-quality care.
