Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking an Internal Registry RN to join the float pool for a 12-week assignment. The role offers nights and days and requires the RN to float to two or more units, maintaining competency across areas.

Responsibilities include delivering safe patient care, patient/family teaching, and effective communication with physicians about changes in patient condition. Equal opportunity employer; compensation starts at $57.50 per hour.

Competenze

Current and valid state RN License.
BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. (Only required for floating into ER, OR, PACU, Day Patient.)
NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women’s Services.
TNCC within 12 months of hire for employees floating to Emergency Department.
BSN preferred.
Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Float RN may be assigned to two or more units based on need and maintain competency in all units.
Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
Direct patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition and test results.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
