Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (ARC/AHA) certification upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS (ARC/AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• PALS (ARC/AHA) certification within 30 days of hire (ER/OR/PACU float).
• NRP or Basic Fetal monitoring (or AWHONN) within 90 days for women’s services float.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire for ED float.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care using the nursing process.
• Float to two or more units as needed and maintain competency.
• Direct patient care and patient/family teaching.
• Communicate patient changes with physicians and document accurately.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
