MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to float across Medical-Surgical Telemetry, Emergency Department, ICU, and PACU as needed to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes patient-family centered care, adherence to the Watson Model of Care, and collaboration with care teams to meet the needs of diverse patient populations. Requires 12 months of clinical nursing experience and current BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• 12 months of clinical nursing experience.
• Basic EKG competence.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Flexible transfer of location throughout the shift as census dictates.
• Use nursing process to anticipate and plan to meet patient/family needs.
• Prioritize and organize patient care and ensure follow-through.
• Provide age-appropriate care and apply Watson Model of Care insights.
• Communicate via SBAR in all hand-off situations.
• Assist with unit orientation and discharge planning as needed.
