Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA seeks an experienced Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, patient-family centered care for a defined patient group on a 12-hour shift. You will apply the Watson Model of Care, participate in interdisciplinary teams, and support discharge planning with care managers.

The role requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience (Med/Surg/Telemetry or CCU preferred), Basic EKG competence, BLS/ACLS, and a strong commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience; Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care preferred.
• Basic EKG competence; BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred; CPI Blue Card within 90 days if hired.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing process as a problem-solving model and plans to meet patient and family needs.
• Performs accurate nursing assessments and prioritizes care.
• Maintains patient safety, documentation, and SBAR hand-offs.
• Coordinates discharge planning with care managers for defined patient populations.
• Assesses and delivers patient-centered care following Watson Model and unit policies.
