Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) for 12-hour shifts to deliver high-quality, patient-family centered care using the Watson Model of Care. You will participate in unit transitions, ongoing quality improvement, and discharge planning with Care Managers.

The role requires a nursing degree (BSN preferred) with 1+ year of clinical experience; BLS/ACLS, EMR experience, and Spanish bilingual skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Nursing degree preferred.
• Associate in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or equivalent.
• Internal MLKCH Versant Nurse Residency Program will be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide 12-hour patient care with RN responsibilities.
• Assess and plan care using nursing process; document IPOC.
• Maintain age-appropriate care and adhere to Watson Model.
• Communicate using SBAR during handoffs and with care team.
• Coordinate discharge planning with Care Managers.
