Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking an Internal Registry RN for a 12-week assignment in Joliet, IL. The Float Pool RN provides direct patient care across multiple units, following the nursing process, and may work nights or days depending on staffing.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS (when required for floating), plus TNCC if floating to ED. BSN preferred and eligibility to float to at least two units is expected.

Competenze

• Current and valid state RN license required.
• BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate required upon hire and kept current.
• ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate required within 30 days and kept current.
• PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate required within 30 days and kept current (only for floating to ER/OR/PACU/Day Patient).
• NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women’s Services.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire for employees floating to Emergency Department.
• BSN preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency.

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Float RN may be assigned to two or more units and must maintain competency in all units.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician and document diagnostic results and symptoms; respond quickly to changes.
