Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking an Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week assignment in Joliet, IL. The Float Pool RN will provide direct patient care, float across multiple units, and coordinate with physicians on patient changes while maintaining patient privacy.

Current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required; TNCC/NRP options apply based on unit assignment. BSN preferred. Shift availability includes nights and days, with PRN status for the role.

Competenze

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate required on hire and current.
• ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate required within 30 days of hire and current.
• PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate required within 30 days of hire and current (if floating to ER/OR/PACU/Day Patient).
• NRP and Basic Fetal Monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women’s Services.
• TNCC within 12 months for employees floating to Emergency Department.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency.

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Float between units as needed and maintain competency.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician and coordinate care.
