Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL seeks a RN in Float Pool for nights, delivering safe patient care across units. You’ll utilize nursing process and collaborate with physicians to monitor and respond to changes in patient condition.

The role requires active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, TNCC/NRP as applicable, and BSN preferred. Sign-on bonus available; comprehensive benefits and Total Rewards package included.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. (Only required for floating into E.R., O.R., PACU, Day Patient.)
• NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women’s Services.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire for employees floating to Emergency Department.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provide a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Communicate with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
