Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Nursing Float role. This full-time days position runs 7:00am–7:30pm with 3-12 hour shifts, and staff may float to two or more units while maintaining competency.

Applicants must hold a valid state RN license with BLS, ACLS and PALS on hire, plus at least one year of acute care experience (BSN preferred). A sign-on bonus is offered up to $10,000, along with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate on hire.
• Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days on hire.
• Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days on hire.
• Minimum one year experience as staff RN in acute care hospital preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Ability to float to two or more units and maintain competency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using nursing process.
• Float to two or more units as needed.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families; guide other nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians; respond quickly to changes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
