Job summary

Coast Plaza Doctors Hospital seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse I for full-time, on-site night shifts. The RN must be capable of floating across Medical/Surgical, Telemetry and Behavioral Health units and providing comprehensive patient-centered care.

The role requires a BSN or higher, RN licensure, and BLS/NIH Stroke Scale as applicable, with strong teamwork, communication and adherence to safety protocols. Sign-on offered for full-time; overtime applies after 8–12 hr shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or higher) required.
• RN licensed and NIH Stroke Scale competency preferred.
• AHA BLS Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Float pool RN may be assigned to Medical/Surgical, Telemetry and Behavioral Health units.
• Provide and coordinate patient-centered care following the nursing process.
• Maintain patient records, educate patients and families, and collaborate with care teams.
• Adhere to HIPAA, SBAR, and AIDET communication standards.
• Perform and document assessments, procedures, and medication administration.
