Job summary

UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital invites a Registered Nurse to join the Float Pool in a 100% onsite role based in the greater Chicagoland area. The position supports patient care across units under nursing leadership, with emphasis on coordination, clinical practice, mentorship, and collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications include BSN or ADN, IL RN license, and AHA BLS. The role features nights, full-time (0.9 FTE), and a sign-on bonus potential.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN from an accredited program.
• Current IL RN license or valid temporary permit to practice in Illinois.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate the patient’s plan of care and outcomes.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise the care team per unit competencies.
• Ensure the quality of patient care and patient satisfaction.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and support daily operations of the Patient Care Center.
