Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Med/Surg/Progressive Care Float Pool. You will deliver expert clinical care, ensuring efficient, high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with a supportive team and uphold our mission of compassionate care.

The role requires FL RN licensure, a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), BLS and ACLS, plus NIHSS. Prior acute care experience is preferred, with no travel required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse per state regulations; FL RN license required within 60 days if on compact.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required (with grace period).
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and exam results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
