Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg/Progressive Care Float Pool. The role provides expert clinical care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care settings, ensuring high-quality, efficient patient care.

The ideal candidate is a Florida RN with acute care experience, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS, and relevant certifications, committed to compassionate, collaborative teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN license or compact license with active FL license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (6-month grace period).
• Current NIHSS certification (6 months grace period).
• CCRN/ONC/PCCN/CV/CSRN certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records, including posting tests and results.
• Administer medications according to physician orders.
