Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital in Inverness, FL seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality care across Med/Surg and Telemetry/Progressive Care areas. You will support patient assessment, care planning, and medication administration while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS, and prior acute care experience. BSN is preferred; strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification required (6-month grace period given from hire date).
• Current NIHSS required (6 months grace period given from hire date).
• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care level patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
