Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Float Pool. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units.

You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care; instruct patients and families; maintain records; and administer medications per physician orders.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse; compact licensure accepted with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (6‑month grace period).
• Current NIHSS certification (6‑month grace period).
• Certifications such as CCRN, CMSRN, PCCN, ONC encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records, including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
