Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking an RN to join our Med/Surg/Progressive Care Float Pool. You will deliver high-quality, efficient care across Med/Surg, Telemetry and Progressive Care environments, collaborating with a strong team to support patient outcomes.

You will assess and plan care, educate patients and families on medications, and maintain accurate records while administering medications per physician orders.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse with active Florida license within 60 days if compact license is held.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN is required; BSN preferred.
• Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and communication skills; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry and Progressive Care patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records, posting tests and results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
