Job summary

Labcorp in New Albany, IN is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team. You will perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques across multiple sites, serving patients of all ages.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with variable start times, travel to additional sites, and opportunities to gain extensive hands-on experience while delivering compassionate patient care. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; phlebotomy certification preferred; driving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
