Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in the Columbus area and surrounding north of Columbus toward Mansfield. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, data entry, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens for testing, processing billing, and delivering excellent patient service. Must have a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training; driving and flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
