Job summary

Labcorp in Newark, NJ is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across diverse patient populations, ensuring accuracy and compassionate care.

This role offers exposure to multiple sites, a flexible schedule, and opportunities to develop skills in specimen handling, data entry, and patient service while contributing to Labcorp's mission of delivering reliable diagnostics and improving health outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
