Job summary

Labcorp in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to join our team across multiple sites. This per diem/casual role has variable hours not to exceed 19 per week, offering exposure to diverse patient populations and locations.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, manage data entry and billing basics, and provide excellent patient service while traveling to sites as needed. A phlebotomy cert or equivalent training is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or training program or 6+ months experience as phlebotomist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity and alcohol tests.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system and process billing when needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide excellent patient service and travel to additional sites as required.
