Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Chesapeake, VA team. This per diem/casual role involves flexible hours not exceeding 19 hours per week, performing venipuncture and capillary draws across age groups, and handling associated clerical tasks.

The position requires a high school diploma or phlebotomy certification, with preference for 1 year of phlebotomy experience and strong patient service skills. Travel to additional sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or Phlebotomy certification/training completed.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of training program from an accredited agency preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience and proven customer service skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
